Fulton County has taken a significant step in bolstering its community support network by allocating $5.3 million to various non-profit organizations tasked with delivering key services to residents. This effort, part of the Fulton County Community Services Program (CSP), disseminates funds across six categories of service, according to an announcement on the county's official website.
Since its inception, the CSP has become a cornerstone of the county's support system, funneling nearly $58 million into community aid. The latest funding batch will be shared by 160 non-profit partners, investing in services ranging from aiding children and youth to supporting the senior population. While speaking to the careful disbursement of funds, Fulton County Chairman Robb Pitts expressed in a statement obtained by the Fulton County website, “For this Board, it’s about working together to ensure that the services like the ones provided through the partnerships in Community Development are successful.” The declaration affirmed the Board's collective commitment to the welfare of its constituents.
Fulton County Chief Operating Officer Dr. Pamela Roshell underlined the continuation of the county's pledge to its residents, emphasizing the crucial nature of these programs for the community, the Fulton County website reported. Her remarks highlighted the instrumental role of Community Development and its partnering organizations in delivering these services.
The distribution of the $5.3 million encompasses numerous aspects of community care: $2.1 million will enhance Children and Youth services; Disabilities services will benefit from a $330K injection; Economic Stability/Poverty will receive an influx of $992K; Health and Wellness initiatives will garner $756K; Homelessness services will be bolstered by $827K; and Senior Services will see improvements with an addition of $307K, as outlined by the Fulton County website. In a remarkable display of gratitude for the county's steadfast support, Stan Wilson, Director of Fulton County Community Development, stated, “The financial support that we receive from the Fulton County Board of Commissioners will dramatically improve the quality of life of Fulton County constituents.”
