Looking ahead to Saturday, the NWS predicts a 70% chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms before 11 am, then likely showers and a possible thunderstorm between 11 am and 2 pm, then the likelihood of showers and thunderstorms increases after 2 pm. The report indicates, a high near 84 degrees is expected, accompanied by a south southwest wind traveling 5 to 7 mph. New rainfall amounts could reach between a quarter and a half of an inch.
As the weekend progresses, Sunday's forecast calls for mostly cloudy skies, with showers and thunderstorms likely, particularly after 2 pm, with near similar conditions into the evening. The high temperature for the day will hover around 86 degrees, with a north northwest breeze at a mild 3 to 6 mph, and chances of precipitation sitting at 60%. Rainfall could measure between a tenth and a quarter of an inch, although this could be higher during thunderstorms.
The NWS anticipates the start of the new week will still be fraught with potential precipitation. Monday has a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, under mostly cloudy skies and a high near 81 degrees. Monday night shows a slightly lower chance of precipitation, with a 40 percent likelihood of showers and thunderstorms. The upcoming Tuesday also holds a 50 percent chance of rainfall, with partly sunny conditions and a rise in temperature to about 88 degrees.
Midweek weather does not stray far from preceding patterns. Wednesday carries a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, under mostly sunny and hot conditions with the temperature reaching a high near 92. Moisture lingers into the evening, as there is also a 30 percent chance of night-time showers and thunderstorms. The pattern of heat and intermittent showers continues with a 20 percent chance of rain on Thursday, under mostly sunny skies and a peak temperature near 93 degrees.
