A Key West bartender has been arrested and faces serious charges after allegedly sharing child pornography and bestiality videos on Snapchat, officials reported. Jorge Tyler Perez, 28, is now facing one count of possession of child sexual abuse material and 14 counts of sexual activities involving animals. This arrest comes as a result of an investigation initiated by a tip off to authorities.
According to the NBC Miami report, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) began their investigation in November of 2024 after receiving information from the National Center for Missing and Endangered Children concerning child porn being posted on Snapchat by a user, who was eventually identified as Perez. Furthermore, during the investigation, agents uncovered additional content involving bestiality that Perez also allegedly posted on the social media platform.
As detailed by the CBS News, last Friday a search was executed on Perez's residence where his electronic devices were seized. Following the raid, Perez was arrested and transported to the Monroe County Jail.
Perez’s alleged actions have prompted a joint investigation involving local Key West authorities and federal agencies to address the distribution of illicit materials. The Key West Police and Homeland Security Investigations have assisted the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) in pursuing the case. Court dates and potential legal outcomes will be determined as the judicial process proceeds.
