The San Diego Police Department reported that a 53-year-old man shot a 42-year-old man in the upper chest, following a heated argument that occurred yesterday, just before 3 pm.
The victim, sustaining life-threatening internal bleeding, was promptly transported to a local hospital for emergency care. The alleged shooter, who also suffered a broken knee during the incident, was arrested and is expected to undergo surgery. Officer J. Perales, the SDPD Watch Commander, disclosed the details of the incident in a statement obtained by the San Diego Police Department. The investigation has been handed over to Southeastern Detectives, who arrived at the scene following the shooting.
