Golfers in Miami-Dade have a reason to celebrate as the newly renovated clubhouse at Palmetto Golf Course is set to be unveiled this Wednesday, July 23, at 10 a.m. The grand reopening marks a fresh chapter for one of the county's popular golfing destinations. This event, spearheaded by the Miami-Dade Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Department alongside District 8 Commissioner Danielle Cohen Higgins, marks the completion of significant enhancements to the facility beloved by the community, as detailed by the county's official website.
The clubhouse's facelift includes several updates aimed at both aesthetics and functionality. Attendees of the ribbon-cutting ceremony can expect to see hurricane-resistant impact glass that now sheaths all exterior windows and doors, elegant modern tile flooring, as well as an improved sales office and counter. Furthermore, the club has been equipped with ADA-compliant restrooms, brand new HVAC grilles and furniture, and a fresh coat of paint.
Commissioner Cohen Higgins and Miami-Dade Parks Director Christina White are scheduled to make remarks during the event, underlying the significance of this investment. As stated by the official press release, the two officials will elaborate on the impact and lasting value that the renovations will bring to one of the county's most treasured public golfing sites.
For those eager to step onto the upgraded grounds, the Palmetto Golf Course is located at 9300 SW 152 Street, FL 33157.
