The deputies encountered an empty truck in the canal, which prompted them to form a dive team that managed to fully recover the vehicle by approximately 9 a.m. The deputies, working to swiftly determine the circumstances leading up to the crash, found preliminary evidence suggesting that the truck had been occupied at the time of the incident.
