A routine traffic stop in Mt. Juliet escalated yesterday, when Mt. Juliet Police conducted a stop for a brake light infraction and improper plating, resulting in multiple charges for a Nashville man. The stop, which occurred on Nonaville Rd, unveiled a web of violations, as the officers discovered the driver had active warrants in two counties, according to a social media post by the Mt. Juliet Police.

The 38-year-old driver was wanted for failing to appear on charges of unlawful possession of a controlled substance out of Nashville, and a probation violation in Wilson County. During the stop, police found heroin and unlawful drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle. Additionally, the temporary license plate was determined to be forged, and the man was driving on a revoked license.
Following these discoveries, the Nashville man was arrested and subsequently booked into the Wilson County Jail. The social media update from the Mt. Juliet Police praised the officers' diligence.
