New Orleans Police are on the lookout for a white male suspect linked to a series of thefts in the 500 block of North Hennessy Street. NOPD is seeking help from the public to identify and apprehend the individual responsible for, at the very least, two thefts that occurred last week.
The first incident took place at approximately 7:05 p.m. on July 25, when the suspect absconded with a recycling bin from outside a local business. In a separate incident last Tuesday, around 2:00 p.m., the same individual is believed to have stolen a 2020 Kymco Spade 150 motorcycle parked at a residence on the same block. According to the New Orleans Police Department's news release, the suspect captured in both the upper and lower pictures is said to be the white male now wanted in connection with both thefts.
Surveillance footage obtained from the scenes shows the suspect in the act, offering a clear view of the individual's appearance. NOPD has yet to release specifics regarding how they connected the two crimes to the same person, but the images provided suggest a confident link between the occurrences.
The New Orleans Police Department is urging anyone with information on the suspect's identity or whereabouts to come forward. Community members can provide anonymously to contribute tips by contacting their local precinct. Full descriptions and images of the suspect and the stolen motorcycle have been widely circulated in hopes of a swift resolution. The NOPD emphasizes the value of community assistance in apprehending individuals who aim to repeatedly commit such brazen acts of theft.
As the investigation continues, local residents are reminded to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity.
