The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the scene after a call came in around 9:30 p.m. The victim, whose identity was not disclosed, described the altercation, stating Gardner not only threatened but also attacked him with a brick. In addition to the assault, Gardner is accused of shattering a glass door during the incident. An arraignment has been scheduled for Gardner at 9 a.m. on July 29. The Monroe County Sheriff's Office confirmed these details through a Facebook post, adding that Gardner was taken into custody following the dispute.

While the nature of the relationship between Gardner and the victim remains unreported, officials indicated that the victim did not suffer life-threatening injuries as a result of the attack.
