NFL Hall of Famer Randy Moss is making a move into the restaurant business. He recently celebrated the opening of Crisppi's, a new fried chicken restaurant situated on Biscayne Boulevard and 29th Street in Miami’s Edgewater neighborhood, as reported by WSVN.
In addition to his iconic touchdown dance, Moss is co-owning the restaurant, bringing his competitive edge from the football field to the kitchen. At the grand opening, he shared some exciting news with fans and customers alike. "We wanted to be able to announce a partnership that we have with the Miami Dolphins. The Miami Dolphins have seen something, they've seen our vision, they've seen something that, you know, us being able to give something back to the community, something tasteful," Moss told attendees, as WSVN reported. Randy Moss is also teaming up with Hard Rock Stadium to operate two concession stands during the NFL season.
The venture promises not just another sports figurehead's name on the door but an attempt to wrangle the fast food game into something more upscale, with a community twist. The link between the restaurant and the Miami Dolphins suggests that Moss's foray into hospitality might be about more than just profits; but a commitment, to his new home field. Similarly, the Miami Herald reported that the former NFL star has indeed found a "new mission: chicken sandwiches in Miami."
