The Palm Beach County Office of Equal Business Opportunity (OEBO) will host its sixth annual Mind Your Business Youth Entrepreneurship Forum on Saturday, August 2, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at 2300 N. Jog Road in West Palm Beach. Aimed at young aspiring entrepreneurs ages 8 to 18, the free event offers hands-on workshops designed to turn business ideas into actionable plans. Highlights include “Entrepreneurship 101: Ideas to Action” and “Pitch Like a Pro: Sell Your Idea,” led by Ben Abidian, president of Atlantic Construction Engineers. The forum is part of OEBO’s continued effort to equip local youth with the tools and confidence to pursue entrepreneurial success.

A notable session catching eyes this year is 'NIL Unlocked: Your Identity, Your Opportunity.' According to a statement obtained by Palm Beach County's newsroom, James Taylor of the PBC Sports Commission and Tailored Management & Consulting is poised to unlock the methods through which young entrepreneurs can capitalize on their name, image, and likeness (NIL) into the competitive edge of business victory. In addition to the knowledge feast, attendees will be treated to complimentary professional headshots to shore up their professional image and a free lunch.

Reflecting on the value of such formative events, Bella Mayorca, who attributes the nascent success of her venture, Flash Sign Design, to the forum, shared with the Palm Beach County newsroom, "Before attending the event, starting a business felt like a distant idea, something other people did. But Mind Your Business gave me the tools, the encouragement, and most importantly, the belief that I could do it too." Mayorca's revelation has since been transmuted into Flash Sign Design, an ambitious start-up slated to take off by the end of July, leveraging AI to revolutionize sign creation from the convenience of a phone or computer.

For those interested in attending, the event is free of charge, but space is limited—early registration is recommended. To sign up, visit the OEBO - 6th Annual Mind Your Business Youth Entrepreneurship Forum website. For more information, call 561-616-6840 or email [email protected].
