Rutherford County Sheriff's Office has put out a call for dash cam footage from drivers who were on Interstate 24 this past Saturday morning, in the hope of gathering evidence for what's being treated as a murder investigation. They are looking for any recordings taken between 7 and 8 a.m., particularly from the stretch between Interstate 840 to the Bell Road exit, the department shared on social media.

The victim was identified as 22-year-old Noah Taylor from Smyrna, who was fatally shot while driving on I-24 near Waldron Road heading toward Nashville. Taylor's untimely death occurred at around 7:30 a.m., according to Detective Thomas Burnett. "Dash cam footage would be advantageous," Burnett remarked, signaling the potential worth of such recordings to the case. To spur public cooperation, the family of the deceased has announced a $2,000 reward, adding to Crime Stoppers' offer of up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest and prosecution.

Investigators are urging anyone with relevant videos or information to step forward and assist them in uncovering what exactly transpired that morning. Detective Burnett can be reached directly at 615-904-3052. Meanwhile, tips can also be shared with Rutherford County Crime Stoppers by calling 615-893-7867, where callers have the option to remain anonymous.
