San Francisco Police are currently investigating a homicide that took place in the Central District earlier this month. Last Thursday, officers from the Central Station were dispatched to the intersection of Vandewater and Powell streets following reports of an individual on the ground, potentially needing assistance.
Upon their arrival at approximately 2:22 AM, the officers found an adult male with what appeared to be a gunshot wound. According to the San Francisco Police Department, they attempted to quickly render aid before medical responders took over, rushing the victim to the hospital, where he faced life-threatening injuries. Despite the efforts to save his life, the man was ultimately pronounced dead.
The San Francisco Police Department's Homicide Detail has led this case. Authorities are appealing to the public for information that could aid the investigation.
