The department’s rigorous two-hour operation yielded actions ranging from tickets to warnings, at 9400 S & 1300 E eight tickets were issued for failure to yield to pedestrians, there was also a recorded red light violation along with various warnings for not yielding and one red light infraction warning, culminating in 16 total stops in just two hours, at the second location, 7800 S & 700 E, four crosswalk-related stops took place with two red light violations and additional citations for expired registration and no insurance, resulting in the day’s efforts amounting to 22 stops and 11 citations in total, according to Sandy City Police Department.

Highlighting the purpose behind these initiatives, the Sandy City Police Department underscored the success of their enforcement when they commented on the importance of each stop, stating, "Every stop is a step toward preventing a serious injury or fatal crash." The need for drivers to heed pedestrian rights at marked crosswalks and the particular dangers of red light violations were accentuated in their message, while pedestrians were also advised to remain vigilant and cross only when it is completely safe to do so.
