
The Broward Sheriff’s Office has issued an alert and is actively searching for a missing 12-year-old girl from Lauderdale Lakes. Alkeria Brownlee was last seen near the 2700 block of Somerset Drive around 1 a.m. yesterday, WSVN reports. The search is increasingly urgent as hours continue to pass since her last sighting.
Authorities are now enlisting the public's help to quickly find Brownlee. Standing 5 feet, 5 inches tall, and weighing about 110 pounds, Brownlee has black hair and brown eyes. She was last spotted wearing black pants, a grey tank top, a black bonnet, and black slides. Officials are urging anyone with information to immediately come forward and assist in the investigation.
The investigation into Brownlee's whereabouts is ongoing, and officials have not provided further details regarding the circumstances of her disappearance. In addition to the physical search, law enforcement is now to fully employ digital outreach and local media in hopes of garnering vital tips.
