Heber City, Utah, became the unexpected scene of a violent altercation on Sunday night, when a birthday party turned into a crime scene. Officers from the Heber City Police Department were dispatched to The Junction Restaurant at 11:40 p.m. following a report of a stabbing during what was meant to be a private celebration, as FOX13 reported. The first respondents were greeted with a scene that had already begun to rapidly fall into chaos, with the suspects having fled the scene before their arrival.
Inside the restaurant, an urgent situation was unfolding. A 34-year-old male victim was discovered with a serious stab wound to the abdomen. According to ABC4, Sgt. Josh Weishar of the Heber City Police Department affirmed that "life-saving aid was provided until emergency medical services could take over." The victim was swiftly transported to a local hospital and later airlifted in critical condition to receive further specialized care. Meanwhile, outside the restaurant, a 21-year-old man was found with a leg wound. Treated on the scene, his injury was not deemed critical.
