Fulton County's job seekers are about to gain a valuable resource right in their neighborhoods, as WorkSource Fulton rolls out its Mobile Career Center to local libraries, providing on-the-go career services. According to a recent post on the Fulton County's official website, the Mobile Career Center is decked out with computers, internet access, and staff trained to assist with employment resources and guidance, operational from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at selected Fulton County Library branches.
The initiative is backed by the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) aiming to equip residents with the necessary skills and support to navigate today's challenging job market, whether they are entering the workforce for the first time, switching careers, or seeking to upgrade current skillsets; job seekers have the opportunity to visit locations including the Palmetto Library on First Tuesdays and East Point Library on Second Tuesdays and other locations throughout the month. The full schedule is detailed on the Fulton County website.
Emphasizing the importance of accessibility, WorkSource Fulton is committed to dissolving obstacles to employment by connecting individuals to the necessary tools and resources, such as WIOA-funded training programs, that will enable them to thrive in the current and future labor landscapes; this community-centric approach places vocational empowerment just a library visit away. Starting August 19, 2025, the Sandy Springs Branch Library will also participate, hosting services every third Tuesday.
