Earlier in the day, at approximately 9:50 a.m., fire crews were dispatched to Elkmont Drive following the report of a fire. They arrived to witness light smoke emerging, with the homeowner and their dog already safely outside. The fire's status was controlled by 10:07 a.m., as indicated by the homeowner standing outside with a dog. The American Red Cross had been notified regarding the incident by this time.
The swift response from local emergency services included Ladder 10, Rescue 10, Ladder 9, Rescue 9, District 2, Battalion 2, Squad 1, Ops 2, and Engine 8. These teams collectively responded to the emergency call and worked together to contain and extinguish the fire effectively.
