The Colma Police Department is on the lookout for a suspect involved in a theft at Ulta Beauty earlier this year, reaching out via social media to gather clues from the public. According to a post by the police department, the incident occurred on February 11, at the beauty store located on Colma Boulevard. Reports claim the suspect is a young black female who was seen exiting the store with $600 worth of merchandise without rendering payment.
Authorities responded to the scene around 4:19 PM after the suspect had already fled the scene in a grey sedan. The police seek to identify and locate the individual responsible quickly. She was described wearing a distinctive ensemble: a black puffy jacket, blue pants, and black and grey shoes. With the investigation still actively moving forward, the Colma Police Department is asking anyone with information to step forward and contact their detective bureau or, for those wishing to remain anonymous, the tip-line offered by the department.
The department's social media strategy is to leverage the power of online communities to generate leads and tips. "This investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information or who can identify the suspect is encouraged to contact the Colma Police Department Detective Bureau at (650) 997-8321," said the Colma Police Department in their appeal to the public. The anonymous tip-line, available at (650) 997-8337, allows informants to share details without disclosing their identity.
