Starting yesterday, Waverly Park in Davie has closed its gates at sunset for an indefinite period. The closure is due to ongoing electrical work at the park, located at 14601 SW 14th Street. Visitors planning evening walks or late picnics are advised to seek alternative locations.
The Town of Davie has suggested several nearby parks as alternatives while Waverly Park undergoes electrical work. Residents can visit Falcon’s Lea at 14900 Stirling Road, Waterford Park at 15090 South Waterford Drive, or Palomino Park at 15410 SW 50th Street. These parks are open daily from 9 a.m. until sunset.
For those with questions or concerns about park facilities, including broken equipment, the Davie Park Rangers are available at 954-275-8504. Additional information can be found on the town’s website at Davie's Official Alert.
