The City of El Paso has announced a special event to mark National Professional Engineers Day, which is observed across the United States each year on August 6. According to the City of El Paso, the celebration is set to take place at the Mexican American Cultural Center.
In a bid to inspire the next generation of engineers, the city has partnered with the Canutillo Independent School District and will be inviting 100 students for an educational experience at the event. The students will be treated to a hands-on exhibit by La Nube Children's Museum, designed to introduce them to the world of engineering, and the City of El Paso engineering staff will provide in-depth explanations of the scientific and mathematical concepts that bring the exhibit to life.
As noted by the City of El Paso, the event isn’t just educational, it’s also meant to be a fun gathering. Attendees will enjoy food, refreshments, and free giveaways sponsored by local restaurants, creating an atmosphere for students and professional engineers to connect over a shared meal.
