Early this morning, a devastating accident took place on Interstate 195 in the vicinity of Alton Road, leaving one bicyclist dead and another critically injured. As per the Florida Highway Patrol's report, cited by Local 10 News, the crash involved a white Ford sedan which struck an electric bicycle that was carrying two individuals around 3 a.m.
FHP Lt. Alex Camacho shared details indicating the bicyclists were transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center. Tragically, one was pronounced dead, and the other remains to fight critically for their life. The eastbound section of the interstate was compelled to close, impacting the morning rush hour at Biscayne Boulevard, the FHP told NBC Miami.
