Fountain Hills will hold its 17th annual Make a Difference Day on October 18. The event offers free home maintenance assistance to residents dealing with aging, health, mobility, or other challenges, according to the Town of Fountain Hills.
The Town of Fountain Hills announced that Fountain Hills residents are encouraged to apply for assistance by September 1, for the 17th annual Make a Difference Day on October 18. Services will include minor home repairs, building exterior wheelchair ramps, and yard work. Volunteer Supervisor Kim Wickland said, “Make a Difference Day is about more than just completing projects, it’s about connecting people and building community.” Applications are available at Town Hall, the Community Center, or by contacting Wickland directly.
Volunteer registration for Fountain Hills’ Make a Difference Day opens August 11 on the town’s official website, where details about projects will be provided. Town officials are promoting the event through multiple channels to encourage community participation, as stated by the Town of Fountain Hills.
