
Hialeah Police confirmed that a tragic shooting claimed the lives of two young men, Kevin Ramirez, 18, and Cristian Rolando Contreras, 20, inside an apartment in the Atlantico at Aquabella residential complex. According to Local 10 News, both individuals suffered gunshot wounds, which led to their untimely deaths.
Responding to a distressing scene last Tuesday, around 12:30 p.m., officers from the Hialeah Police Department discovered the two victims in the apartment located at 11181 W. 35th Way. While the investigation into the murders remains active, no suspects or motives have surfaced at this time. An appeal has been made by authorities for anyone with information to come forward. As reported by WSVN, interested individuals with potential leads are encouraged to contact the Hialeah Police Department.
The deceased were known locally as barbers at the Billionaire Barbershop in Hialeah. Bryan Leon, a colleague and friend, reminisced about the victims in an interview, "The one thing I want everyone to know about my friends is that they were good people, good-hearted, they cared about their family, their moms, the community, especially here," as he told Local 10 News. Leon shared memories of their work and the recent trips they undertook together, while also touching on future plans that will sadly remain unfulfilled.
A GoFundMe page has been set up to aid with Contreras' funeral expenses, highlighting the financial strain unexpected tragedies can impose on a grieving families. Leon remembered the ambitions and aspirations of his young friends, "Imagine your son or daughter being a young age, just working, trying to get to their dreams, and this happens. It sucks, it makes no sense," he conveyed to Local 10 News.
