A high-speed police chase on Florida's Turnpike ended near Hollywood Boulevard on Wednesday. According to CBS News Miami, at least one person was taken into custody.
The incident closed southbound lanes between Taft Street and Johnson Street around 12:30 p.m., causing heavy traffic delays. Aerial footage from WSVN showed congestion stretching back to the Griffin Road exit. No injuries were reported.
Multiple agencies, including Lauderhill and Plantation Police, responded to the pursuit. Details about the reason for the chase have not yet been released. Authorities advised drivers to use alternate routes during the investigation.
