
The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has issued a weather advisory reporting light rain and a 60% chance of showers and thunderstorms today, along with a high near 84 degrees Fahrenheit; calm winds will become east northeast around 6 mph in the morning.
In the meantime, the forecast for tonight includes scattered showers and thunderstorms mainly before 7 pm and a drop to a low around 67 degrees, the east wind will slow becoming calm as the evening progresses and there is a 30% chance of precipitation, according to the National Weather Service.
Looking ahead, Wednesday should expect mostly sunny skies, a high near 86, with light southeast wind following into a mostly clear night and a low around 68, the NWS advises; Thursday continues the sunny trajectory, climbing to a high near 88 and stretching into a mostly clear evening with lows bottoming out around 69 degrees.
Residents are advised to stay informed as there is a chance of hazardous weather; "Daily chances for afternoon showers and storms continues into Wednesday with much lower chances through the rest of the week into Saturday, a better chance for scattered storms will arrive Sunday into early next week," according to the NWS official forecast, locals should be mindful of the risks associated with heavy rainfall which could lead to localized flooding and lightning strikes throughout this period.
