
The Georgia Department of Corrections has appointed Jacqueline Fanning as the Deputy Warden of Care and Treatment at Burruss Correctional Training Center (BCTC), effective yesterday. She will oversee approximately 800 medium-security male offenders, managing educational and counseling programs, along with health, library, recreational, and mental health services, according to a Georgia Department of Corrections press release.
Fanning began her career with the Georgia Department of Corrections in 2015 at Phillips State Prison. She has served in various roles, including Adult Basic Education Instructor, Behavioral Health Counselor, and most recently, Assistant Superintendent at West Central Integrated Treatment Facility (ITF).
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, a Master of Arts in Criminal Justice, and several departmental certifications, including CADC-II, Executive Basic Correctional Officer Training, and Motivation for Change. These qualifications support her responsibilities in overseeing care and treatment at BCTC.
