Detailed in a recent Nashville government publication, the altercation on Wednesday afternoon left the elderly man with lacerations to his head and wounds on his arms, beckoning first responders to a scene stained with blood on his face, neck, and arms, eventually leading to treatment at Skyline Medical Center before his release.
What unfolded was a domestic dispute that turned near-deadly. The younger Beranek disarmed his father of the pistol he was carrying during a struggle, causing the magazine to fall from the weapon, prompting the father to flee and seek help, as the investigation found and as the Nashville government publication later reported.
