Port St. Lucie witnessed the ferocity of an uncontrolled flame last night as a fire consumed a local warehouse. According to CBS12, the St. Lucie County Fire District (SLCFD) was called in at approximately 10:45 p.m. to the 7900 block of SW Grove. They were confronted with a single-story warehouse fully engulfed by fire. Their report confirmed that the structure was already beyond rescue by the time firefighters arrived.
The quick response from the SLCFD to initiate firefighting operations ensured that no injuries were reported. The intensity of the blaze was such that, despite the prompt arrival and efforts of the crews, the building was deemed a total loss. The State Fire Marshal’s Office has taken over the investigation to determine the fire’s origin and any potential oversights, as mentioned by WPBF.
The fire was brought under control, but local business owners voiced concerns about safety and possible financial losses. Updates will be released once the investigation is complete.
