In the quaint town of Livingston, local authorities are asking for the public's assistance with a pair of joyful canines who have taken to exploring the area unsupervised near the City Ballpark. The Livingston Police Department, via a social media post, highlighted the need for the dogs’ owners to step forward and adhere to the municipality's leash law.
Livingston’s leash law, meant to protect both pets and the community, was highlighted when Sgt. Shane Barlow found two friendly dogs roaming loose—one even had a “big smile,” according to a department post. Although the dogs were well-behaved, the sergeant reminded residents that pets must not roam freely under city rules.
The Livingston Police Department hopes to avoid issuing citations and is asking the dogs’ owners or anyone who recognizes them to come forward. Community members with information about the dogs or their owners are encouraged to contact the Livingston Police Department.
