A grim scene unfolded in the Kingsway East neighborhood on Monday morning as a 50-year-old man was fatally shot at the intersection of N. Kingshighway Blvd and Saint Louis Ave. The Saint Louis Metropolitan Police Department reported receiving a call shortly after 9 a.m. about the shooting, and upon response, they discovered the victim with multiple gunshot wounds.
Emergency Medical Services were quickly on the scene, rushing the man to the hospital, where despite desperate efforts, he succumbed to his injuries. An update provided by the SLMPD, noted that homicide detectives are actively piecing together the events that led to the shooting.
