A tragic incident occurred late Friday night in Miami's Liberty City, when a man using a wheelchair was fatally hit by a motorcyclist at the intersection of Northwest 17th Avenue and 53rd Street. According to CBS News Miami, the collision happened just after 10:05 p.m., prompting a response from City of Miami Fire Rescue who transported both individuals to Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center in critical condition.
Miami Police later confirmed that the pedestrian in the wheelchair succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. Despite the critical events that followed, the identities of neither the man in the wheelchair nor the motorcyclist have been revealed. After arriving at the crash site, Miami Fire Rescue crews found the two injured parties and immediately took action, as reported by NBC Miami.
