Maricopa's State Route 347 widening project is not only improving transportation but also bringing the community together. Starting tomorrow, there will be family-friendly celebrations for each of the three planned lanes, creating a fun and festive atmosphere, according to the City of Maricopa.
The first event on August 9, from noon to 5 PM at Copper Sky Aquatic Center, will feature a pool party complete with a live DJ, and an array of contests, and games to keep attendees entertained throughout the afternoon. The event organizers encourage pre-registration for an organized experience, details and sign-ups can be found on the City of Maricopa's official website.
Simultaneously at the Copper Sky Multigenerational Center, there will be a variety of inflatables and live entertainment sure to appeal to families and children. The celebration ends with a community potluck on Tuesday, August 12, from 11 AM to 1 PM at the Maricopa Community Center. Everyone is invited to bring a dish to share, enjoy food, play games, and win prizes., as reported by the City of Maricopa.
