Miami residents can anticipate a slight shift in the weather pattern starting Wednesday, with the potential for an isolated morning shower and a few more thunderstorms in the afternoon that may sweep through the western suburbs, as reported by NBC Miami. The temperatures are expected to climb into the low-90s, but with humidity on the rise, it could feel more like it's between 100 and 105 degrees.
Although the afternoons have been relatively clear of storms in the past couple of days, this weather transition brings a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms today after 2 pm as per the National Weather Service, with mostly sunny conditions and a high near 90, adding to this, the heat index values might soar as high as 103.
The outlook for Thursday and Friday suggests a slight dip in rain chances, lowering to 20 percent Thursday afternoon, however, the heat and humidity remain constant, with the National Weather Service forecasting a high of 91 degrees and heat index values maintaining a stifling high of 102. The night will bring subtly calmer winds and a low hovering around the 80-degree mark.
Looking ahead to the weekend, NBC Miami points out that rain chances could climb again, with the following week possibly seeing even more precipitation, currently Miami's forecast for the next several days continues in a similar vein sunny days speckled with sporadic storms with heat indexes that make air conditioning less of a luxury, more a necessity.
