Heading into the Labor Day weekend, Miami-Dade County Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTPW) announced a revised transit schedule for Monday, September 1. According to a recent press release, Metrorail and Metromover services will operate on a weekend schedule while Metrobus and MetroConnect will follow the Sunday service schedule.

Officials highlighted that all DTPW administrative offices, customer service, and special transportation offices will be closed on Labor Day. Nevertheless, essential services for essential needs, such as reservations and cancellations for STS trips, can still be done by calling the STS reservation number at 305-871-1111.

The county reassures riders that they can still manage their travel needs through various online platforms, even with the closing of physical offices. Options for reloading the EASY Card are available through the Transit Store, the GO Miami-Dade Transit app, and other third-party applications like Token Transit, Citymapper, and Moovit. Contactless payments are an option too, and riders can report lost items or sign up for a Golden Passport EASY Card online, as detailed by the county's website.

To keep up with transit alerts, DTPW is urging customers to sign up at miamidade.gov/alerts and to follow them on various social media platforms, such as Facebook, X, and Instagram. They also offer a Mobility 305 newsletter that riders can join to stay in the loop on news, events, and promotions offered by Miami-Dade Transit.
