Liberty City residents are grappling with a string of unsettling voyeurism incidents, as Miami Police hunt for a man caught on camera engaging in indecent acts while peering into women's homes. According to 7News, one of the latest videos captures the suspect, described as wearing a black cap and T-shirt, as he not only prowled around a family's yard but proceeded to lower his pants and pleasure himself.
Eunicka Johenkins, a resident who's had the misfortune of being targeted by the perpetrator for months, relayed to 7News the distressing impact this invasion of privacy has had on her family adding that their sense of security has been compromised and despite installing cameras around her property, the man continues his illicit activities without being apprehended. Johenkins emphasized, “As a mother, I’m going to protect my kids, at any cost,” her determination to safeguard her daughters palpable.
In a report by NBC Miami, Johenkins expressed her family's exhaustion with the repeated violations, indicating how her 21-year-old daughter has been affected to the point of changing her style of dress to avoid the predatory gaze of the man who lurks and leers.
Both the Liberty City community and the local police force are on alert after the suspect was caught on camera multiple times, climbing over fences and exposing himself; the repeated nature of these incidents raises concerns that the man could escalate his behavior or be targeting other unsuspecting individuals. Revealing the gravity of the situation, Johenkins told 7News, “I have girls in here. There’s someone invading their privacy, their space. They can’t walk around the house like they want to ’cause someone is doing this to them.” The Miami Police remain vigilant, assuring the public of their commitment to tracking down the individual in question.
