The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation shared a relief-filled update on their social media platform earlier today, announcing that Dorothy Wells, the 78-year-old woman at the center of a #TNSilverAlert, has been located unharmed in Franklin, Tennessee. The update from the TBI came as a wave of reassurance amidst the tension that rippled through the community following her disappearance.
Wells had been reported missing earlier from Franklin and was described as a 5'5" woman with blonde hair and blue eyes, last seen wearing a pink shirt and cutoff jeans, and she also has a medical condition that could impair her ability to find her way back without help, the urgency of locating her was palpable, with authorities and the community at large uniting in the search for her safe return. The Franklin Police and TBI prompted locals to reach out with any information via the hotline 615-794-2513 or 1-800-TBI-FIND, respectively.
The initial plea for public assistance was circulated through a TBI Facebook post, where the details of Dorothy’s appearance and the last known location, Whitewater Way in Franklin, were shared to raise awareness.
