
Yesterday, the Murfreesboro Fire Rescue Department (MFRD) responded to a severe collision involving two vehicles at the corner of Memorial Blvd. and Maple St. According to a social media post from the department, the accident resulted in individuals being trapped inside their cars.
The MFRD's Ladder 4 and Rescue 4 units arrived on the scene to discover extensive damage to the vehicles. In spite of the destruction, crews were able to quickly assess the situation and provide immediate assistance to those involved. "All individuals involved sustained non-life-threatening injuries," as reported by the Murfreesboro Fire Rescue Department.
The team worked efficiently to extricate the victims, some receiving treatment on the spot while others were transported to a local hospital by RCEMS. Alongside Ladder 4 and Rescue 4, Safety 2 and Battalion Chief 2 were also present lending their expertise to the emergency efforts.
