In Nashville, the local police department's homicide detectives are in the midst of dissecting the layers of a fatal encounter that claimed the life of 42-year-old Keiona Wilson earlier yesterday on Scalf Drive. The incident unfolded when Wilson, suspecting infidelity, sought out her husband at a residence reportedly tied to 42-year-old Keosha Greer, with whom he was said to have a romantic connection. According to official reports, a confrontation ensued through a home surveillance system leading to a heated argument and ultimately a physical altercation inside the home.
What started as a staggering moment of perceived betrayal escalated into violence; Wilson found her husband's car parked behind the house, promptly moved it using her key, and began knocking on the front door and, after a period of time passed argued with Greer over the speaker, the two women's words fueling a fire that one could foresee would not end without injury or worse. Despite being warned off, Wilson attempted to force entry into the home, a move that prompted Greer to fire a shot into the storm door—miraculously, it missed Wilson.
The argument turned physical after Wilson managed to gain entry, and in the course of their brawl, Greer fired her weapon a second time. This bullet found its mark, hitting Wilson in the abdomen. Despite her mortal wound, Wilson demonstrated extraordinary will, exiting the residence and driving her husband's car before her strength waned and she flagged down an officer near the Madison Precinct. She succumbed to her injuries after transport to Skyline Medical Center.
