The Burns Road Community Center, a hub for local gatherings and recreational activities, will temporarily close its doors for a week to make way for cleaning and some needed maintenance. From Monday, August 11 through Sunday, August 17, residents looking to utilize the facilities will have to find alternative venues, as the center undergoes its routine sprucing up. The adjacent Burns Road Playground remains open for the kiddos, and the community center bathrooms will remain accessible for public convenience, as per the City of Palm Beach Gardens.
Dispensing with any possible disruption caused by the maintenance closure, the city has also assured that the Aquatic Complex won't overlap its maintenance schedule with the community center's. Instead, swimming enthusiasts should mark their calendars for the following week. Scheduled for a brief hiatus, the aquatic facility is diving into maintenance mode from Monday, August 25, through Friday, August 29, according to the city's website.
The timing is set to ensure minimal interference with local recreation plans, aiming to reopen just in time for the Labor Day weekend festivities. Swimmers can look forward to cannonballing back into the action starting Saturday, August 30. In the interim, aquatic enthusiasts are encouraged to explore other swimming holes or perhaps dust off that gym membership they've been neglecting.
