Around 12:20 PM, the incident involved a 34-year-old male driver and a 69-year-old male pedestrian at the 3700 block of Camino Del Rio West. The older man was reportedly crossing the street midblock, amid heavy traffic, when the Jeep Wrangler struck him, according to a press release from the San Diego Police Department.
The victim sustained an open fracture to his right leg and a fractured pelvis, injuries for which he was swiftly transported to a local hospital, Traffic units from the SDPD responded to the scene to manage and investigate the situation the department has not released any additional details regarding the condition of the pedestrian or the circumstances leading up to the accident.
