
A shed was destroyed in a late-night fire on Front Street in Putnam County, Tennessee. The fire was reported around 10:50 p.m. on Wednesday. Firefighters were first dispatched to what was believed to be a brush fire, but on arrival, they found a shed already burning, as reported by the Putnam County Fire Department.
The Putnam County Fire Department stated that the shed was "fully involved and beginning to collapse" when crews arrived. Firefighters kept the flames from spreading to nearby properties. The shed was declared a total loss, but no injuries occurred. Crews remained on the scene for more than an hour to fully extinguish the fire and conduct overhaul.
According to the Putnam County Fire Department on their Facebook page, the Baxter Fire Department was called under an auto-aid agreement but was cancelled before arriving. The shed fire on Front Street was quickly contained by the local fire department, and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
