
A recent robbery occurred in Clairemont Mesa East, with a male suspect estimated to be around 20 years old perpetrating the crime. The San Diego Police Department reported that yesterday, at approximately 4:05 PM, the assailant entered a bank on the 5500 block of Balboa Avenue. According to the SDPD Watch Commander's Log, the suspect approached a teller and handed them a note demanding money.
Complying with the request, the teller relinquished an undisclosed sum of cash, thankfully emerging from the encounter unscathed. The man responsible for the robbery fled the bank after receiving the money, leaving his whereabouts unknown and leaving law enforcement in pursuit. Dressed in a black hat, hoodie, and brown pants, the suspect stands about 5 feet 8 inches tall, the SDPD's release detailed.
In response to the felony, robbery detectives arrived at the scene to commence their investigation. As the inquiry unfolds, the police urge anyone with information pertinent to the incident to come forward.
