Community concern is growing as the San Diego Police Department has issued an urgent appeal for assistance in locating Ariel Salazar Medina, a 98-year-old man reported missing since yesterday. According to the police's social media post, Medina was last seen around 2:30 PM near 6100 Maury Drive in San Diego. The elderly gentleman is considered to be at risk due to his partial blindness and deafness, characteristics that add layers of vulnerability to his disappearance.
Described as a Hispanic male with brown hair and eyes, standing at 4'03" and weighing about 106 pounds, Ariel Medina's distinctive appearance, which includes his eyewear and headwear choice, should be relatively easy to spot. When last seen, Medina was driving a red electric scooter, donning a yellow button shirt, tan jacket, dark blue pants, and dark shoes. He was also topped with a white Panama hat and sunglasses, which he needed to protect his vision from the blazing sun.
San Diego Police urge anyone with information about Medina's whereabouts to step forward. His condition and the circumstances make it imperative for the community to keep an eye out for this elderly individual, who so dearly needs to be safely returned home. “Any information related to Ariel Medina's whereabouts please contact the San Diego Police Department Communications Division at 619-531-2000 and reference Case #25-501333,” as per the San Diego Police Department.
