A Naperville woman, Olasinmibo "Sinmi" Abosede, has been reported missing since last Wednesday, with local authorities and volunteers conducting an extensive search in the Springbrook Prairie Forest Preserve area. According to ABC7 Chicago, the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County is assisting the Naperville police in the search operation which started early at 9 a.m.

The search efforts, comprising dozens of volunteers alongside K-9 teams, were initiated after Abosede was last seen on the morning of July 30 at the corner of Sudbury Street and Lindsay drive at 9:20 a.m., Fox32 Chicago reported she is described as a 46-year-old Black woman, standing 5-feet, 6-inches tall, with black hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing a black head scarf, a black Adidas jacket with white stripes on the sleeves, gray sweatpants, and black Crocs at the time of her disappearance, and that the only item she had with her was a white water bottle which police says foul play is not suspected.

In their coverage of the incident, ABC7 Chicago added details about Abosede, noting that she weighs 190 pounds, has black hair, and may be in danger due to an unspecified condition. Authorities are urging anyone with information on Abosede's whereabouts to call 911 or the Naperville Police Investigations Division. Users planning to visit the forest preserve were advised of the increased activity due to the search, but the preserve itself and its parking lots remain open to the public.

During Monday's search efforts, there was a moment of concern when Chopper 7 captured footage of a searcher being placed on a stretcher and then into an ambulance, although it was not immediately clear what happened to this individual, those participating in the search were seen wearing bright colors and painstakingly combing through the brush in the area to locate the missing woman.
