The National Weather Service in Salt Lake City has released its latest forecast, showing plenty of sun and climbing temperatures for the region. According to the National Weather Service, today's weather is sunny with a high near 94 degrees, and calm winds will be turning north northwest at about 6 mph in the afternoon.
Tonight, residents can expect mostly clear skies with temperatures dropping to a low of around 67. The wind will shift from a southerly direction to the east in the evening. Looking ahead to Monday, the forecast hints at patchy smoke between 9 am and noon, yet the skies will clear up later, reaching a high near 97 degrees. The shift from east southeast winds at 6 to 11 mph to southwest in the afternoon will be a slight reprieve from the early stagnation, potentially aiding in smoke dispersion.
As Tuesday arrives, the relentless sun continues with a high near 95 degrees. The wind, staying light and variable, shifts to the west at 5 to 10 mph later in the day. The calm pattern persists into Tuesday night with mostly clear conditions and a low around 70.
Despite a partly cloudy Wednesday night forecast, the daily highs keep edging up, with Wednesday likely to reach near 99 degrees. Thursday will not be far behind, sporting sunny skies and a predicted high near 98. Dropping only slightly, Friday and Saturday offer a semblance of consistency, with highs near 94 and 90 degrees, respectively. The nights throughout the week promise to be mostly clear to partly cloudy, with lows oscillating between the mid-60s to low 70s.
