The Aurora Police Department has reported a suspect in custody following a double shooting incident at an apartment complex in Aurora, Illinois. The shooting took place early Sunday morning, triggering a significant response from local law enforcement and medical teams.
According to ABC7 Chicago, two men, aged 19 and 20, were discovered with gunshot wounds in the vicinity of a basketball court at the 500 Station Apartments. The suspect, 24-year-old Aaron Conley from Aurora, fled the scene immediately after the incident. It wasn't until Monday morning that the police confirmed Conley's surrender as he turned himself in after a hours-long manhunt that had ensued the prior day.
