
Earlier today, a blaze in southwest Miami-Dade turned tragic for a family as two dogs perished in a house fire. According to Local 10, the fire began in the carport, consuming two vehicles before spreading to the home's garage and eaves. Despite the swift response of Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, arriving just before 7:45 a.m. and intensively battling the fire with over 10 units, the two family pets could not be saved.
One pet was rescued from the inferno and reunited with its family. "There were no reported injuries to any residents," a statement from Miami-Dade Fire Rescue reported by Local 10 emphasized, adding misery to the situation as the family not only faced property loss but also the heartbreaking loss of their pets. Firefighters quickly engaged the flames upon arrival, using both traditional hose lines and aerial tactics by accessing the roof with a ladder in efforts to contain and extinguish the destructive blaze.
