
West Palm Beach's latest police operation, focusing on sex work in the area, culminated in multiple arrests yesterday. According to WPBF, six individuals were brought in on charges related to solicitation as part of the sting. Concurrently, the operation surfaced a significant drug and weapons discovery involving a 28-year-old man.
The West Palm Beach Police Department (WPBPD) conducted a targeted sting that spanned the city, looking to clamp down on prostitution. As reported by CW34, during the operation, police pulled over Arthur Edwards after observing him commit traffic violations, leading to an arrest following the discovery that his license was suspended.
The encounter with Edwards led to a more significant bust. After searching his vehicle, officers found not just the vehicle violations but accrued 32.7 grams of cocaine and a firearm. Edwards now faces a series of charges. "Cocaine trafficking, possession with intent to sell, possession of a firearm during a felony and driving with a suspended license," as the list of counts against him stacks up, as noted by WPBF.
The suspects were booked into the Palm Beach County Jail.
