
A woman was fatally shot, and another person was injured during a shooting in St. Louis' Dutchtown neighborhood yesterday afternoon, according to local law enforcement.
Investigators from the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department arrived at the scene around 2:40 p.m. on the 3600 block of Gasconade Street, following reports of gunfire, First Alert 4 reported. A second victim with a graze wound was also discovered by officers, however their identity, along with further details regarding the incident have not been released to the public.
The deceased victim, identified only as an adult woman, was found to have sustained gunshot wounds that proved fatal, while the second victim's injuries were not considered life-threatening, as per officials cited by KSDK. Homicide detectives have been called to lead the investigation into the deadly shooting.
